A Mother's Whisper

If someday I can give my child a birth and raise him in this world, just like the rest of every mother I know...
If I can taught him, though only life who educates him the most.
I will sing in his lullabies, I will whisper before he went asleep, that

"The reason for you to be here in my arms because you are special,

You give me a worth-living life. You make me feel great.

It's because, it’s a cruel world we’re living in, so you’re here to heal it.

It’s because, people are always selfish and mad, so you’ll learn from their lack.

It’s because things might don’t work out the way you want it.

And maybe you’ll never be what you want to be,

because you might don’t have the power to make your dreams alive.

But maybe, your life is precious already, and though you might don’t get what you want, you’re blessed with all that you have.

And maybe if someday I cannot protect you anymore, they’ll hurt you.

They disappoint you. They make you feel miserable. They make you feel useless.

And it’s not me who can bring you up.

But your faith, my dear darling. Your faith and your honest heart, who can save you.

Your faith in me, your faith in life, your faith that everything in this world are falling into places where you need to be.

Darling, I’m not a romantic person. I’m not sure love really works in a beautiful way. But what I know, love can birth you a new spirit. Love can taught you many painful worthy lessons.

But if do you want to know what makes the world go round until now, it’s pity. Yes, my love, pity. Have a pity to everything you see, your kids someday later, your spouse, your boss, your colleagues. Don’t let your heart neglect them. Have pity to strays. To strangers. To criminals. To rich people who can’t be happy for what they are. To corruptors. To inventors. To robbers. To the presidents. To gamblers. To prostitutes. To everyone who can’t find serenity in their lives.

And darling, stop asking. And stop finding out. Stop thinking too much about the reason of our lives. Life you have here is for you to enjoy. Every happiness & sadness in it. Every triumph & failure in it. In every wounds you got, in every strength you had.

See now dear darling, world here is not a beautiful place. But you are.

And you’re here to make it better."

I love you so much, so does life.

Mar 9, 2006,

Your future mother.
